Founder
Ian Lehrer
Founder, Webbify Studio (Lehrer Group LLC)
Ian evaluates a website the way a finance and operations analyst evaluates a business system: structured, measured, documented, and tied to an outcome. Then he builds it himself, including the custom applications most web studios have to outsource.
Background
From finance and enterprise operations to building websites and products.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Arkansas. He went on to work at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, first as a Legal Operations Analyst and then as a Global Workplace Operations Analyst. At Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Ian supported forecasting, reporting, and analysis for a global facilities budget of approximately $400 million across more than 250 sites.
That work was about making large, messy systems legible: budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analytics, automation, and process improvement. It also meant building the tooling to do it, which is where the habit of writing code to solve an operational problem started.
Web development began as a practical extension of that habit and became the main work. Ian has built and migrated sites on WordPress, Elementor, and Squarespace, and writes custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript. On the search side he works in technical SEO, website migrations, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics, treating each as a measurement problem before a marketing one.
The product side is VetCaseIQ, a veterinary case-review platform Ian created and built with Next.js, React, and TypeScript. It organizes case information into structured reports, reviews supporting, conflicting, and missing findings, and retrieves literature through PubMed and Europe PMC. It is under active development and testing, and it is the clearest proof that Webbify can build software, not only marketing sites.
Ian founded Webbify Studio to bring those three things together for Houston-area businesses: business and financial discipline, technical build capability, and search strategy, delivered by one person who is accountable for the result.
How this shapes the work
Why a finance background matters for a website.
Every page has a job.
A budget line without a purpose gets cut. So does a page. Site architecture is planned so each URL owns one intent and can be measured against it.
Decisions are documented.
Redirect maps, sitemaps, and proposals are written down before work begins, so the client can see what is being built and why.
Results are reported honestly.
Search Console and analytics are set up at launch. What they show is reported plainly, including when a change did not move anything.

A working product
VetCaseIQ is what custom application work looks like here.
Ian created VetCaseIQ as a custom web application: Next.js, React, TypeScript, API integrations, and custom pipeline logic. It has been tested using representative and published veterinary cases and remains under active development. The case study covers the product decisions, the architecture, and what was learned. It does not claim clinical validation or institutional endorsement, because neither exists.
