Process

What to expect when you work with Webbify.

Four steps, in order, with something concrete to review at each one. The sequence is the same whether the project is a redesign, a migration, an SEO engagement, or a custom application.

The four steps

Audit first. Then architecture, build, and measurement.

The order matters. Design before architecture produces a pretty site with the wrong pages. Architecture before an audit produces a plan for a business that does not exist.

  1. Audit & discovery

The project starts with a conversation about the business: what it sells, who buys, and what the website is supposed to do about it. Webbify then reviews the current site, its search presence, technical debt, and anything that must be preserved, such as existing rankings or URLs. You see a written review of findings and a recommended approach, which becomes the basis of the proposal.

  2. Architecture

Before any design work, the site is mapped as a system: a sitemap where each page owns one search intent, an internal-linking plan, and, for migrations, a redirect map. This is where most SEO decisions are actually made. You see the sitemap and page plan, and you approve it before build begins.

  3. Design & build

Pages are designed and built on the platform that fits: WordPress, Squarespace, or custom code. Performance, accessibility, and structured data are part of the build, not a later pass. You see a staging site as pages come together, review real content in real layouts, and give feedback in rounds rather than at the end.

  4. Launch & measure

Launch is planned: redirects verified, Search Console and analytics connected, and the site checked after it goes live. Then the work is measured against the original goal. You see a launch checklist, the first post-launch read on what the site is doing, and a plain recommendation on what, if anything, should come next.

What you get

Every project produces these, not just a launched site.

  • A written review of the current site and search presence
  • A sitemap and page plan approved before build
  • A redirect map for any migration or URL change
  • A staging site to review during the build
  • Fast, accessible pages with structured data and image optimization
  • Search Console and analytics connected at launch
  • A post-launch check and plain-language report
  • Full ownership of the site, content, domain, and accounts

What we ask of you

A short list, and it matters.

Most delays in a web project are waiting, not working. These four things keep the project moving.

  • One point of contact who can make decisions
  • Access to the current site, domain, and analytics when the project needs it
  • Content, branding, and images, or a clear agreement about who produces them
  • Feedback in rounds, so the build does not stall between steps

Questions

What people ask before they start.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the size of the site, how much content exists, and whether a migration is involved. The proposal includes an estimated timeline for the specific project. Timelines move most often when content or feedback is delayed, which is why both are planned up front.

Do I need to have content ready before we start?

No. Discovery establishes what content exists, what needs to be written, and who will write it. Content planning is part of the architecture step, and Webbify can draft or restructure content as part of the scope.

What if my site is on Squarespace or another builder?

That is fine. The audit looks at whether the current platform still fits the business. Sometimes the right answer is to improve what you have, sometimes it is a migration. Lily Lane Aesthetics started as a Squarespace refresh and became a WordPress redesign because the goals outgrew the platform.

Will I see the site before it launches?

Yes. Every build runs on a staging site you can review, and nothing is published until you approve it in writing.

What happens after launch?

A post-launch check, measurement through Search Console and analytics, and a clear recommendation. Ongoing SEO or support is a separate, defined scope with no long-term contract.

Start with the audit. It is the first step, and the first thing you see.

Tell Webbify about the business and the current site. The reply is a conversation, a review, and a clear proposal.
